Leading Ladies

Our Leading Ladies ministry operates as the hands and feet of Christ throughout the Northern New Jersey area.  This ministry touches many local people who are often forgotten.

We reach out to the elderly in our community with regular visits to nursing homes.  We not only give the residents the gifts of love and encouraging words, but we have found a way for them to continue to contribute through "Knitted Together", which is a group of senior women with knitting skills that put their gifts to use making sweaters, hats and scarves for underprivileged babies and children in our area.

Our Huggers Ministry offers comfort to crack addicted babies who are in need of loving arms to hold them, by volunteering our time at local area hospitals.

Our Day of Beauty Events give us the opportunity to pamper cancer patients and survivors of domestic violence.  At these "Spa Days" we give manicures, pedicures, massages, hair care and makeovers to these precious women who are in need of special care.

Our Thanksgiving Baskets, Adopt a Family and Christmas Outreach programs meet countless needs during the holiday season.  We provide  an entire holiday meal, along with many extras, in the Thanksgiving Baskets we donate.  Adopt a Family gives us the opportunity to bless struggling families at Christmastime with many necessary items as well as a few "wish list" gifts.  The Christmas Outreach is our biggest event of the year!  We bus approximately 350 homeless children to the church on a Saturday afternoon for FOOD, FUN AND TOYS!!!  The Hills Kids perform their Christmas play.  There is plenty of music, special guests and a hot meal.  The Marines Toys for Tots program provides a toy for each child.

And the list goes on…whether it is connecting special needs children to bicycles designed just for them, bringing hope to the addicted, or just being a friendly face to local immigrants feeling isolated from our mainstream society…Leading Ladies shows it is still in fashion to lend a loving hand to those in need!
